Read pages 194 - 197 then do Q 3 page 199. Make sure the graph is stuck into your lab book , is drawn with a sharp pencil and that there is a descriptive title and the axes labelled and drawn the right way round.

Read pages 112 to 115 carefully. Then do questions 2 and 4 on page 116 in your lab jotters. Remember to give the date and a title showing page number and the numbers of the probems to be done. All answers should be written as full sentences. Single word answers will NOT gain full marks even if correct.

2R Homework 15/11/11
Read pages 112 to 113 and then do the following calculation.
In an experiment similar to the one on p 113, a pupil started with 150 cm3
of air. At the end of the experiment there only 30 cm3 of air were left. Calculate the volume of air used up and the percentage of air used up.
% air used = vol of air used divided by vol of air at the start then divide your answer by 100.
Then do questions a ans 3 on page 116.

5E Homework 15/11/11
There will be a test on reaction rates and exothermic and endothermic reactions. You should revise your notes and the relevant chapters in you testbook. Revise by writing down all you already know from memory than check and add to your revision notes in red. Repeat until perfect! make sure you know about collision theory and how to plot rate/concentration and rate/temperature graphs.

5E homework 8/11/11
Draw graph of rate against concentration using data in table D page 185. Read through pages 180 - 181 and do questions 1 to 6 on these two pages.

Remind them to hand in the homework sheets.
Start with questions on page 31 (they will need to re-read pages 30-31)
Read pages 34-37. Make bullet point notes (paying particular attention to learning objectives, key words, exam tips and "did you know....? boxes). then answer the question on page 35 and 37
5ths Period 5
Read pages 81-83 of the new textbook (purple electrical thing on cover), They should then make bullet point notes of pages 82&83 answering questions. Prep is to continue with revision for next weeks exams.
Periods 7&8 Higher.
NAB (test must be sat under exam conditions). 10 minutes revision at the start of lesson. & minutes extra time for those who need it, please change colour of pen at end of "normal time".

2R homework 1/11/11
Do question 10 on page 93. In addition, collect a copy of your test from your classteacher at registration and write out a complete set of correct answers in your lab jotter. Make sure you put your work in my box outside the Science Office in good time for me to correct it before next Tuesday.
