Read pages 133-4 on the reactions of metals with water. In your lab book make notes on the following compounds and their uses.
Sodium chloride, Sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide and lithium carbonate. You will need to research this in some cases - try Google - but you should know something about where sodium chloride is found and some of its uses already.
